The GBR TMT Fe-500D comes with enhanced chemical properties that enable it to have superior ductility. The higher elongation values, ductility and strength is achieved by keeping elements like sulphur and phosphorus lower than recommended levels. This increased ductility makes it ideal for use in higher seismic zones.
GBR TMT undergoes a PLC controlled on line thermo
mechanical treatment which ensures ductility and consistency. This
allows us to maintain 0.2% proof stress values higher than 550 N/mm2
(500N/mm2) Elongation values higher than 16 % whilst maintaining tensile
strength values higher than 585 N/mm2, making it ideal for usage in
(higher) seismic zones.
Each of our lots come packaged with tamper proof
strapping for your convenience. The strapping ensures better inventory
management and easier cross verification of stock on site.

The GBR TMT Fe-500 D has enhanced physical, chemical and mechanical properties whilst maintaining low amounts of sulphur and phosphorous. (GBR TMT Fe-500D has a more refined chemical composition which minimizes impurities such as Sulhphur and Phospohorous to less than 0.040% each. This ensures higher ductility to the TMT Bar.
Our state-of-the-art laboratories and a team trained
professionals ensure a process of continuous testing to maintain
consistency in adherence to the norms specified in IS 1786:2008.
Additionally, each dispatch is accompanied by our test certificate and
details the lots chemical and physical properties.
GBR TMT bars have precise rib patterns that match industry leaders and are in strict adherence to prescribed norms for deformation and surface characteristics in the IS 1786:2008 code. This results in excellent bond with the concrete.
GBR TMT is available in the following sizes, as per the IS 1786:2008.
