DOV® Mortar Plast used as a bedding material for masonry products

DOV® MORTARPLAST is plasticizer for improved workability and reduced permeability and other value added properties in building and plastering mortars.

Area Of Application

• DOV® IWP LIQUID is a versatile admixture with wide ranging applications.
• Suitable admixture for waterproofing concrete and cement- sand mortars in basements, sumps and drains, water tanks and water retaining structures, external plasters, bathrooms, balconies, roof slabs and screeds.

Method of Application

                                     MIXING

Blend cement and aggregates in a concrete mixer as per mix design for about two minutes. Add 75-80% mixing water slowly and blend for about three minutes. Add specified dosage of DOV® MORTARPLAST (@250ml/50Kg cement) to the remaining gauging water and mix thoroughly before adding to concrete mixer and blend further for two minutes. Use the mortar/ carry out plastering as the case may be. Cure the structure/ plaster adequately. DOV® MORTARPLAST can be used with all types of Portland cement including blended cement, sulphate resistant cement and white cement. While hand mixing too DOV®MORTARPLAST should be blended to 20-25% of gauging water before adding to mortar mix. Work the mortar to obtain homogenous consistency.

                              Precautions

• Do not add directly to dry mixes.
• Gauge dosage correctly before commencing mixing. Do not tamper with the mix later.
• Maintain water/cement ratio as low as is possible.
• Do not alter the recommended dosage.
• Do not premix with other admixtures.
• Do not increase the dosage without consulting Dovchem
